As we reported yesterday, U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went on a rant yesterday that she said wasn’t about Elon Musk in a deleted tweet.
Now, #AOCLovesElon is trending on Twitter after he made a joke about her hitting on him in response to her rant.
In a bizarre twist, Ocasio-Cortez chose to quote tweet a pro wrestling media personality, David Bixenspan, who shared a screenshot of the exchange with the now deleted tweet and said, “MY GOD…”
Typically, in the wrestling world, that is a nod to legendary WWE announcer Jim Ross, who would use that phrase whenever there was a brutal display.
Whether or not, he felt like Ocasio-Cortez got the better of the exchange is unclear, but she shared a woman shrugging emoji and added, “like I said, ego problems.”
Another Twitter user, with a low follower count, told Ocasio-Cortez in a reply, “But you deleted the tweet (which was epic).”
“I try to avoid giving people with massive ego complexes like this the attention and QTs/replies they crave and are seeking (when I can help it *winking face emoji*),” Ocasio-Cortez responded.

As for the #AOCLovesElon trend, a number of memes have popped up after the exchange mocking her, so it would be tough to say she got the better of the exchange.

U.S. Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) also took time to piggyback on the situation by tweeting six fire emojis along with a screenshot of Musk’s response.
