U.S. Sen Cory Booker (D-NJ) is the latest to announce that he tested positive for COVID-19 and to use that announcement to encourage people to get vaccinated.
Booker’s announcement came on the heels of U.S. Sen Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who also announced yesterday that she had a “breakthrough” case.
“I learned today that I tested positive for COVID-19 after first feeling symptoms on Saturday. My symptoms are relatively mild,” Booker announced in a tweet.
Booker then explained that he is fully vaccinated and said that he is “Beyond grateful to have received two doses of vaccine and, more recently, a booster.”
“I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse,” Booker insisted, echoing Warren’s words as well.
Booker then shared the CDC vaccine site and added, “I encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated and boosted.”

“I’m thankful to be fully vaccinated and boosted and experiencing only mild symptoms, the vaccine is safe and effective,” Crow declared.
