After NBA superstar LeBron James made inflammatory comments today about the Brittney Griner situation, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee had some advice for him.
During a recent taping of “The Shop” James said of Griner, “Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?'”
Huckabee responded in a tweet where he shared a TMZ article on the comments, “Maybe ‘Mr. China made me rich!’ Lebron ought to relocate to the country that enriches him by slave labor.”
“If you hate America, you don’t have to stay,” Huckabee declared.

James was referenced earlier this month when Griner’s WNBA coach Vanessa Nygaard said that she believed Griner’s detainment would be resolved if she was him.
“If it was LeBron, he’d be home, right? It’s a statement about the value of women. It’s a statement about the value of a black person. It’s a statement about the value of a gay person. All of those things. We know it, and so that’s what hurts a little more,” Nygaard claimed.
Nygaard also compared Griner to NFL quarterback Tom Brady when asked if she thought the Biden administration was doing enough to bring her home.
“I mean the question is, would Tom Brady be home? But, Tom Brady wouldn’t be there, right?” Nygaard asked.
Nygaard then stated that it would be “Because he doesn’t have to go to a foreign country to supplement his income from the WNBA.”
