Earlier today, President Trump tweeted, “just reported that the United States has done far more ‘testing’ than any other nation, by far! In fact, over an eight day span, the United States now does more testing than what South Korea (which has been a very successful tester) does over an eight week span. Great job!”

Kathy Griffin replied to the tweet accusing the President of lying about the availability of testing. She claimed to be in a Coronavirus “isolation room” but couldn’t get a test. She also blamed the “CDC” and the “Pence task force”.
He’s lying. I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions.

USA Today did a fact check on his tweet and found that it was true in terms of raw numbers, although, they said, since South Korea has a smaller population, they ruled the statement partly false.
lies, lies and damn lies!!!Fact check: Trump claims U.S. excels on testing, but omits key detail https://t.co/s7mEvUduiU via @USATODAY
