Michigan Dem Rep Cynthia Johnson recently took a lot of flak for viral videos telling black and brown people to rise up as soldiers. It was very threatening to Trump supporters and white Americans and very offensive to many people. Many have called for Johnson’s arrest.
The Republicans have stripped her of her committees and plan more action against her. Meanwhile, Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer thinks stripping her of her committees is too far.
That’s ironic considering Whitmer has claimed that President Trump without proof, is to blame for alleged threats against her. It was reported that there was a foiled kidnapping attempt against Whitmer. It’s funny that Whitmer only plays the victim when perceived threats are against her, but protects fellow Democrats doing similar things.
Henry Rodgers tweeted:
“Michigan Democratic State Rep. Cynthia Johnson threatened @realDonaldTrump supporters in a Facebook live video Tuesday, saying it is a warning message to those who support the president.”

Detroit Free Press reports:
House Republican leaders went “too far” when they removed state Rep. Cynthia Johnson, D-Detroit, from her legislative committees on Wednesday due to comments she made on a controversial Facebook video, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said Thursday.
Whitmer said she has asked House Speaker Lee Chatfield, R-Levering, and Speaker-elect Jason Wentworth, R-Clare, to reconsider their decision to pull Johnson from her committees.
“I think this is a woman who has been through a lot. And I think it’s important that every single one of us give one another a little bit of compassion and grace,” Whitmer said, noting Johnson has had a loved one in the hospital.
“In the simple requirement that she show up to do her job last week at a hearing with Rudy Giuliani — where she was exposed to COVID, frankly, and everyone who was there was — has now made her the target of a lot of racist attacks and threats on her life. None of this is acceptable. None of it is acceptable.”

In our view: it’s funny how tone deaf the Democrats are. Hopefully the GOP continues to hold Johnson accountable and pushes for the maximum they can against her for her actions of threatening Trump supporters.
