MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, fresh off a bus tour across the nation in support of Donald Trump, has renewed rumors of a run to be the next governor of Minnesota.
According to a recent article, Lindell believes his unflinching support for Trump would be a strong asset if he runs for the GOP nomination to challenge Democratic incumbent Tim Walz.
Lindell insisted, praising Trump’s response to the pandemic and his economic policies, “Of course it would help. Why wouldn’t it help? The guy was the best president in history.”
Recently, Lindell said major retailers like Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s have dropped his products and both companies confirmed the decision to cease carrying the brand.
Lindell also said products have also been pulled from online furniture store Wayfair.com and Texas supermarket chain HEB due to pressure from liberal activists.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Lindell said he believes, “They’re succumbing to the pressure from these attacks, I’m one of their best-selling products ever. They’re going to lose out. It’s their loss if they want to succumb to the pressure.”
Lindell added he doesn’t regret his election claims or his support of Trump, who he said he first met in 2016 becuase “I stand for what’s right,” he said, “I’m standing firm.”
The former president has told Lindell before that he would back his bid for governor of Minnesota, which makes he said makes it more likely that he wants to enter the race. Lindell said Trump told him, “Mike, if you did it, I would get behind you.”
