Report: Trump White House Looking to Fire Lt. Col. Vindman from National Security Council

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, arguably one of the smuggest and most anti-Trump witnesses during the failed Democrat House impeachment, is now likely fearing for his job. After testifying against the commander in chief with vehement spite to no avail, it was reported that Vindman’s brother actually worked for the same company that is publishing the John Bolton book that was one of the Democrat’s ‘Hail Mary’ attempts to stick a fork in Trump in the final hours of the Senate Trial.

Left-wing media outlets such as Media Matters “debunked” claims that Army Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman was involved with the book having excerpts leaked at just the worst time. The brother of Alexander is reportedly in charge of reviewing all publications by current and former NSC officials. We are not claiming anything one way or the other, simply parroting the information from the right-leaning Washington Times report, and left-wing Media Matters.

Well, it looks like the White House is weighing a plan to dismiss Vindman, the man famous for lashing out at Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) for making the epically grave mistake of forgetting to address him by ‘Lt. Col’. Vindman is the top expert on Ukraine at the National Security Council. He testified that President Trump tried to force Ukraine into delivering politically motivated investigations against his rivals, not seemingly taking into consideration so much whether or not President Trump’s “rivals”, (Joe Biden) has actually done actions that warranted such investigations.

Bloomberg reported that some NSC officials might be removed because they are seen as being disloyal to President Trump. The report claims that the White House will be saying Vindman’s ouster will be part of a broader effort to clean house and decrease bureaucracy. The decision to fire Vindman yet for sure is apparently not final.

Business Insider reported on the Bloomberg bombshell:

Sources told the outlet that Vindman’s ouster would be portrayed as part of a “broader effort to shrink” the Trump administration’s foreign-policy bureaucracy.

Vindman catapulted into the national spotlight last year when he was one of several witnesses who testified for the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

Vindman is the top Ukraine expert on the NSC. He works at the Defense Department but has been detailed to the White House since July 2018. Vindman always planned to return to work at the Pentagon, but his departing ahead of schedule would raise questions about whether the move were politically motivated.

Many backers of President Trump his agenda would be likely to support this move as furtherance of Trump’s plan to “drain the swamp”. President Trump has suffered high turnover in the White House and in other related administrations that affect him directly as he continues on with that mission.

It is likely that although the president is doing his best to line the administration with Trump loyalists, he is finding over the first three years in Washington D.C. that this task isn’t as easy as swift as he once thought it would be. This is especially true considering Washington D.C. is over 90% Democrat and the Republicans that do exist in and around the beltway are oftentimes old guard or “libertarian-leaning” Republicans who fought tooth and nail to keep him out of the White House.

Many of the latter, now outwardly support the president, although their loyalty is questioned by some Trump originalists like Steve Bannon. Others, are still outward haters of President Trump, and will likely vie for power again within the GOP whenever Trump is no longer in office. The hope from Trump loyalists is that he will be able to shake up enough things in Washington by then so that the remaining old guard and open-borders Republicans have little voice left outside of their echo chambers.
