U.S. Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) signalled his approval of Elon Musk’s takedown of U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) with a simple message: six fire emojis.
Cruz shared a screenshot of the interaction between the two and also tagged them in a tweet that he made not long after Musk’s response.
In the past, Cruz and Ocasio-Cortez have had frequent spats and disagreements, although Cruz wished her a “Happy Birthday” last October.

As we previously reported, following Musk’s recent attacks on the far left, it seemed likely that Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) would weigh in on the situation.
In a tweet today, Ocasio-Cortez said that she’s, “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.”
Since it certainly appeared that Ocasio-Cortez was referring to Musk, he replied to her, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”
Musk’s tweet has badly ratioed Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet as he has received more than three times as many likes so far.
Ocasio-Cortez apparently also replied to Musk by suggesting she wasn’t talking about him, but then quickly deleted the tweet.
“I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed.
