Distracting from the disastrous killing of George Floyd in Minnesota and the ongoing Coronavirus crisis is a new battle between President Trump and social media companies, especially that of Twitter. President Trump took swift action after Twitter ‘fact-checked’ more than one of his tweets regarding mail-in voting.
Immediately Trump fired back, saying he would not allow it, and today he issued an executive order that aims to take away some of the control from large social media companies that President Trump believes to be posing as political activists rather than simply ‘arbiters of truth’.
Oddly enough, Elizabeth Warren, a potential running mate for presidential candidate Joe Biden, recently posted her disdain for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This specific tweet was in regard to his recent interview with Fox News.
Facebook has definitely made its mark as a left-wing platform like Twitter, but Zuckerberg has tried to appear more neutral as of late, possibly to avoid action by the president. This isn’t good enough for radical leftist Warren, who apparently feels he shouldn’t be going on to Fox News at all.
In fact, Warren seems to think Fox News is a “hate-for-profit machine” in her new tweet of a CNBC article talking about Zuckerberg. Apparently she’s never heard of Juan Williams, or Dona Brazille since they are Fox news contributors who are openly Democrat and anti-Trump. But with all this talk of fact-checking in the air, we can’t expect politicians to always stick to them. Her tweet in full as seen below was:
“Zuckerberg went on Fox News—a hate-for-profit machine that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracy theorists—to talk about how social media platforms should essentially allow politicians to lie without consequences. This is eroding our democracy” See the tweet below:

It’s tough to say how good Warren’s chances are of actually being picked as running mate for Joe Biden considering the nature of the racial division in the air as of late. Biden is being pushed by many to not only pick a woman but a black woman, despite the fact that he was hinting towards a possible Amy Klobuchar pick. It seems Biden has his work cut out for him there.
