Florida State Rep Anthony Sabatini (R-FL-DISTRICT 32) has said that he will represent anyone who is arrested over what he believes to be unconstitutional mask mandates. He has helped the now-famous Bevelyn Beatty, who is known for pouring black paint on the New York City Black Lives Matter ‘mural’, and getting briefly arrested.
Now Rep. Sabatini is blasting Broward County, Florida after the ‘Plantation Police Department’ arrested one of his clients who owns a gym. The details of the arrest are in the police documents we were able to acquire. The biggest reason given was that one person was not wearing a mask according to the State Rep, who is defending the gym owner, although the officer gives testimony that it was a few other items, and ‘most’ patrons not wearing ‘the mandatory face coverings’ without giving an exact number.
Will the officer be able to prove all of the claims in court? Time will tell, but there’s evidence that someone may have been watching and waiting for minor mistakes to be made so they could go after this particular business. Sabatini believes they are splitting hairs, and that the real reason for this arrest is because he filed a lawsuit against Broward County challenging their mask ordinance two days ago.
It’s tough to prove this, but if this is political retaliation, it is unacceptable in a free society and if nothing else, this should be investigated to see what happened. Rioters and looters currently roam free across the nation, but localities want to pick on business owners who want to feed their families over minor technicalities at the same time. Things just aren’t adding up. Sabatini tweeted out recently:
“Florida’s most corrupt local government—@browardinfo—just arrested my Plaintiff Mike Carnevale because *1 person inside his gym was not wearing a mask. He was targeted and arrested because we filed a lawsuit against Broward County challenging their mask ordinance two days ago.” See tweet:
