Many have been upset since the members of “The Squad” were elected to Congress and have wanted them removed from office. They also have claimed to be the targets of threats and harassment.
Tonight, the four Congresswomen are directing their ire towards Twitter, who earlier issued a tweet after there was an onslaught of accounts wishing death on President Trump after he was tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The tweet said, “which earlier issued a statement that “tweets that wish or hope for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against *anyone* are not allowed and will need to be removed. this does not automatically mean suspension.”

Minnesota House Rep. Ilhan Omar was the first to retweet this tweet, sharing a GIF that said, “Excuse me?” New York House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez retweeted Omar’s tweet.

AOC was the next to retweet the Twitter statement, saying, “So… you mean to tell us you could‘ve done this the whole time?”

Michigan House Rep. Rashida Tlaib was the next to join in, retweeting AOC’s tweet and tagging the Twitter Communications account. She opined, “Seriously though, this is messed up. The death threats towards us should have been taking more seriously by.”

Shortly thereafter, Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley retweeted the original statement made by Twitter and asked them to “please” send her a direct message.
