At a press briefing today, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared to answer a question with an announcement that will likely come as a surprise to many, perhaps on both sides of the aisle.
In a clip that is being widely shared, Psaki says, “I can assure you that this president is not looking to the last presidency as the model for his foreign policy moving forward.”
The Columbia Bugle responded to the clip and said, “Donald Trump’s foreign policy was probably the most popular part of his Presidency.”

Many praised the former president for his relationship with Israel, but CNN reported yesterday that almost a month into his presidency, President Biden has yet to call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The report notes that at a briefing last week, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the call will take place “soon.”
Even a Washington Post opinion column written after Biden assumed the White House claimed that “Trump’s disruptive approach made a mess, but not every policy stance should be discarded just because it bears his name.”
One Twitter user “ToTheMoon” responded to the clip of Psaki and said, “Lol so no wars, isn’t part of our foreign policy strategy moving forward? You can’t make this stuff up….”
