At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Cardi B performed her hit single “WAP” along with fellow artist Megan Thee Stallion and many were mortified by what they saw on primetime CBS television.
Even Grammy host and frequent Trump critic Trevor Noah gave viewers a heads up prior to their performance that things were about heat up in a particularly, not safe for work fashion.
Candace Owens appeared on Fox News with Tucker Carlson last night to give her take on the performance and she believes it was a symptom of an underlying problem in the country overall.
In a clip that was shared on Twitter, Owens begins by decrying those who have approved of the performance and said, “They call it great, they call it fabulous, this is the stuff that children should be aspiring towards.”
“So at the same time Tucker, that we have kids that are not learning hard academics in school anymore, right, forget about mathematics and science, you can trust the science and you trust Dr. Fauci,” Owens explained.
Owens continued, “You have these kids learning about critical race theory, they’re learning that they should aspire to people like Cardi B, you see that fundamentally that we are seeing the destruction of American values, American principles.”
After recently becoming a mom herself, Owens said, “It’s terrifying, I think parents should be terrified, that this is the direction that our society is heading towards, and again we are weakening America, that’s the real issue we should be talking about, this a weakening of American society.”
“We are setting the stage and we are looking at corrosion, like we are about to see the end of an empire. America cannot survive, it cannot be sustained under these sorts of values and principles,” Owens concluded.
In a response to the video clip, Cardi B attempted to downplay the criticism and said, “Yaaaayyyyyyy WE MADE FOX NEWS GUYS !!! Wap wap wap.”
