Former President Trump is planning on another major rally tonight in Sarasota, Florida. He was recently in Ohio to do his first rally since the disastrous 2020 presidential election. Many feel he kept his message safe and toned down. Others are concerned that perhaps 2015-2016 is gone and a new, GOP watered-down version of Trump may be here to stay, whether or not he runs and wins again for president or not.
Only time will tell how that unfolds or if Trump brings back the old hard-hitting rallies where he bashes Democrats and globalists alike. For now though, he is still drawing a large crowd, and even though he’s banned from Facebook and Twitter, you can still see that many there support him tirelessly. Dav Scavina showed that many are not getting tired at all as there was a huge line for tonight’s rally this morning.
People were there yesterday as well, including Gene Huber, the man famous for showing up first to Trump rallies and getting to hug trump at the podium, a life-changing moment for Huber. Huber later made a famous t-shirt with a picture of himself hugging Trump, which he now wears often. The tweet below was posted this morning by Trump ally Dan Scavino:

Many around the nation and in Sarasota are getting hyped for this Trump rally and the 4th of July tomorrow. The right feels like they are taking more ownership of the 4th, as Democrats push things like “the Black national anthem” and “Juneteenth” in what many see as an effort to replace traditional American things. A local ABC News affiliate reported on the upcoming Sarasota rally in part:
Former President Donald Trump is holding a rally at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. Some people have been camping out here since Monday waiting for the big day.
“We’re very excited, we were in Ohio last week and we had a tremendous turnout,” said Rick Frazier, a Trump supporter from Ohio. “And this probably is going to double the Ohio turnout from our estimates.”
Crews have been working all week getting the stage and the rally site ready. Local Republican officials say it’s great to be able to welcome back President Trump.
“Former President Trump can be any place but he’s chosen Sarasota,” said Jack Brill, acting chairman of the Republican Party of Sarasota County. “We have all the support and base that’s here, it’s exciting when a president or a former president comes to any area and he still has a lot of support in this area.”
Thousands of supporters are expected to be on hand. One of those supporters tells ABC7 he was able to give the former president a hug on stage during one of his rallies.
“It was unbelievable excitement, even the president saw when he told me to jump the first time,” said Gene Huber, a Trump supporter from West Palm Beach. “He said I’m not worried about him, I’m just worried he’s going to give me a kiss.”
It’s not known what the former president will be talking about. There will also be other speakers and fireworks after the rally.
