Earlier we reported on how Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who refuses to do interviews with White journalists, now all of a sudden cares about police who were brutally attacked. At least one of two are now, unfortunately deceased, one Officer Ella French.
Apparently, as news has come out in a new video, Lightfoot was not even wanted at the hospital where officers also turned their backs on her. It is a wonder that no matter how powerful the signal, these failed Democrat leaders in big cities just do not get the message.
In a Fox News clip posted to Rumble, a Chicago Alderman, who is a Democrat, claims that Lightfoot was asked not to go into the hospital, but she did anyway.
“Police are not our enemies, we must come together, we must unite. We have a common enemy, it’s the guns and the gangs.”
The alderman, Raymond Lopez, said on Fox News, “you know it’s a little too little, too late in my opinion Martha. For the past two years, the mayor has demonized the police in our city while holding in high regard criminality and gang life. I think this is the first time she has ever mentioned the word gangs in her entire mayoralty. All of that has brought us to where we’re at this weekend with Officer Ella French losing her life on the streets of the city of Chicago. The mayor is a hypocrite when it comes to what she has articulated in response because she has never once stood in solidarity with those brave men and women like Ella and her partner, who are trying to do the best they could during these difficult times”

In Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago, we hear nothing but tragedy upon tragedy. Shootings every weekend in the inner city. Riots, looting, and Black Lives Matter/Antifa ruling the streets.
People likely moving out to the suburbs in droves. The mayor herself claiming she doesn’t want to interview White journalists, but not being canceled for being racist like Democrats would do to a Republican if the same thing were to happen.
Now, police officers are dying at the hands of rampant and runaway crime on the streets. We previously reported about the tragic death of Officer Ella French.
French was one of two officers Lightfoot was reportedly visiting who did not make it sadly. She gave her life to protect others and paid the ultimate price. Meanwhile, Lightfoot and fellow Democrats let rioters run the city every time there is a police-involved shooting that takes headlines.
It is being reported that Chicago Police turned their backs on Lori Lightfoot when she visited the hospital as well, which is a sign that things are not right at all in the windy city. All we can do is pray for new leadership and peace.
It’s unlikely in our view the Democrat Mayors like Ted Wheeler, Lori Lightfoot, and others will ever get the message. The voters will ultimately need to decide if they want things in violent cities to take a new direction with better leadership.

The mayor’s proposed budget includes an $80 million reduction in tax dollars going to CPD, but only about $34 million will come from cuts in vacant positions, according to figures provided by the Mayor’s office to City Bureau and Injustice Watch. The rest will either be offset by grant funding or will be reallocated to the city’s Office of Public Safety Administration to fund clerical jobs once held by cops.
