Horror Writing Author Stephen King Asserts That Putin ‘Forgot’ That He’s Not ‘Dealing With Trump’

Horror writing author Stephen King weighed in yesterday on the current situation unfolding between Russia and Ukraine, which the United States is of course involved in.

In a tweet, King claimed, “Mr. Putin has made a serious miscalculation. He forgot he’s no longer dealing with Trump.”

King may have been motivated by a Washington Post op-ed that suggested, “With Biden standing firm, Putin must wonder: Where’s Trump when I need him?”

Columnist Eugene Robinson insisted, “If Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to gobble up another chunk of Ukraine at little or no cost to his own interests, he should have done it while Donald Trump was still president.”

“With President Biden leading the response, Putin’s potential costs are rising — while his hoped-for benefits have evaporated,” Robinson declared.

Many conservative Twitter users mocked King in response including Ron Coleman who shared a Morgan Freeman meme that said, “I don’t understand your specific kind of stupid. But I do admire your total commitment to it.”

Twitter user Chuck Wade responded to King, “Remember when Trump was elected and people said it’d be WW3 within a year? Those were fun times. Look how far we’ve come.”

Another Twitter user told King, “Exactly. The greatest speech of 2022” and shared a picture of Kamala Harris with a quote of when she said, “It is time for us to do what we have been doing and that time is every day.”

A Twitter user who described himself as not being a Trump supporter even asked, “I’m wondering why Putin is taking this action a year into Biden v the four years of DJT?”

“Many theses I’m sure but JB has not projected strength, Afghanistan pullout was BAD, and wondering if Putin sees an opening to press Biden? Biden’s response critical,” he added.
