Yesterday, Moderate Republican and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) shockingly said he would not vote for Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee. This came after controversial hearings and questions that shed light on who Ketanji Brown Jackson really is politically.
It would take all Republicans to vote against Jackson, and one Democrat, for the nomination to be stopped. U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) caved and said he would vote for her. Newsweek reports that U.S. Senator Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) may be the last obstacle left, assuming everything else goes wrong for the Democrat nominee who is unable to describe physically what a woman is to a panel of senators.
It is unlikely that we will see the nomination stopped, but the game is still alive so far. Meanwhile, Manchin made a statement officially explaining his choice:
“I met with Judge Jackson and evaluated her qualifications to be a Supreme Court Justice. After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme Court.”
From Newsweek in part:
Sinema could be the last obstacle for Jackson after Senator Joe Manchin announced on Friday he intends to vote “yes” on Jackon’s appointment to the bench.
The two moderate Democrats have opposed some of President Joe Biden’s key priorities and have the power to sink Jackson’s nomination in the 50-50 split Senate, where a simple majority is all that’s needed to confirm a Supreme Court justice.
Time will tell how things go with this new appointment, who many have called an activist leftist who would set a bad precedent for the Supreme Court’s professionality going forward.
Little kids know what a woman is. Biden’s SCOTUS nominee perjured herself.

Many may have already thought Manchin lost his credibility for voting to impeach Donald Trump. But with West Virginia being a major Trump state, some may have hoped he would try to earn some back, albeit difficult.
Nevertheless, it seems Manchin is listening to left-wing pressure over West Virginia voters yet again, in our view.
