Elon Musk yesterday, despite being in the middle of a court battle to decide whether he will purchase the social media company yesterday, cracked a joke as he doubled down on the fight.
Musk shared an article that reported that former CIA and FBI cyber security specialist Dan Woods said that eight in 10 Twitter accounts are fake.
“Sure sounds higher than 5%!” Musk quipped in the tweet.
In a subsequent reply, Musk added, “On a $/bot basis, this deal is awesome.”

Obviously, someone buying Twitter would not want to have so many bots on the platform and the amount of bots certainly seems to be a bigger problem than Twitter is letting on.
Twitter suffered another blow to its reputation as it confirmed on Tuesday a report by the Verge that it recently halted plans for a product that would have allowed adult performers to charge users for subscriptions to pornographic content, with Twitter taking a cut.
The business model would have similar to the adult site OnlyFans and the plan was scrapped an internal “red team” — a group of Twitter employees tasked with finding the weaknesses or flaws in a product — found that the company was already failing to police material on its main platform that depicts the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.
Musk responded today with two exclamation points after it was reported that “According to newly released emails obtained by state AGs, Facebook & the Biden admin arranged weekly/monthly calls to discuss what to censor on the platform.”

That was after Musk responded to another tweet that said, “It takes a googol years for a supermassive black hole to decay. How long is that? If you had an hourglass w/ a grain of sand for every particle in the universe, and 1 grain fell every 10 billion years, when it ran out you’d be < 1% thru the black hole’s life” with one exclamation point.
