Karine Jean-Pierre Claims Joe Biden isn’t Focused on Donald Trump’s Arraignment in NYC, Instead Focusing on the American People

During her White House press briefing today, Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that Joe Biden isn’t focusing on Donald Trump’s arraignment in NYC.

Jean-Pierre insisted that Biden instead was focusing on the American people, “not watching, not reading, not following Trump’s arraignment in New York City.”

A reporter asked Jean-Pierre if she could give her “any sense of how” Biden was “taking in the moment” of Trump’s arrest.

Jean-Pierre told her that it was an ongoing case and then that Biden was focusing instead on “The American people.”

“Obviously he will catch part of the news when he has a moment to catch up on the news of the day, but this is not his focus for today,” Jean-Pierre added.

The reporter then pressed Jean-Pierre by wondering if she had spoken to Biden in recent days about the situation to which she responded that she had not.

During another part of the press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre if Biden was concerned about the same thing happening to him down the line as what happened to Trump.

Jean-Pierre told Doocy that she didn’t have comment on the matter as Doocy continued to incredulously wonder why the White House has no comment on the situation.

“Well, I think the American people should feel reassured that when there is an ongoing case like this one, that we’re just not commenting,” Jean-Pierre said flippantly.

Doocy tried to reframe the question by asking whether the lack of comment means that the White House doesn’t consider the arraignment to be one of the most important things going on in the country, to which she continued to stonewall on the situation.

According to reports, Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records and conspiracy for his alleged role in hush money payments to two women toward the end of his 2016 presidential campaign.

So far today, tweets that have been made from Biden’s presidential account include a focus on manufacturing and investment, as well as a four-part tweet congratulating the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament winners.
