Previously we speculated that Geraldo Rivera’s time with Fox News’ “The Five” was drawing to a close.
Almost as if to prove speculative reports wrong, Geraldo did come back, but only for a few weeks. Rivera is now officially out, and is announcing it himself:
“Morning, it’s official, I’m off @TheFive. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th. It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large.”
Geraldo recently rubbed it in when Tucker Carlson got fired, a sore spot for Fox News. Greg Gutfeld also didn’t particularly like the jabs, and more drama had ensued.
It’s unclear if there are specific reasons Rivera is being put out to pasture.
