President Trump Pulls Rank, Settles Question of if Email to Federal Employees Must be Responded to or Not, ‘if you don’t answer, you’re fired’

Various leftist (what some would call) propaganda outlets have reported that other government agencies outside of Elon Musk’s DOGE and President Trump have told federal employees not to answer the email asking if they’ve done 5 things this week. President Trump, top dog in the federal chain, cleared this up today.

“PRESIDENT TRUMP: We have people who don’t show up to work and nobody even knows if they work for the government so by asking the question ‘tell us what you did this week,’ what [Elon’s] doing is saying are you actually working. If you don’t answer, you’re fired.”

Federal employees can try to push their luck and see what happens if they don’t follow the email. But if it were me I’d respond to it.

Elon Musk posted about the email to X a few days ago and many didn’t think it was real. It is definitely real. CNN even said they verified a few of the emails independently.

Some have claimed that due to unions, federal employees can’t be fired that easily. If it were me I wouldn’t take my chances over something so simple. Would you?
