After previously being forced to take a leave of absence for accidentally masturbating on a Zoom call, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin announced that he is leaving the network again, this time for good.
The decision comes a little more than a year after Toobin rejoined CNN after being off the air for eight months for the Zoom call snafu which occurred with his colleagues at The New Yorker.
Toobin was subsequently fired from that publication after the incident occurred.
In a tweet, Toobin declared, “Friends, I’ve decided that, after 20 years, I’m leaving @cnn after my vacation.”
“Was great to spend my last day on air with pals Wolf, Anderson and Don. Love all my former colleagues,” Toobin explained.
Toobin then urged his followers to “Watch for my next book, about the Oklahoma City bombing, coming in 2023 from @simonandschuster.”
After making the tweet, Toobin restricted the replies to only people that he mentions or follows so nobody has replied thus far directly.

Conservatives had some fun with the news, with many incorporating the zoom call situation into various tweets mocking Toobin.
Comedian Tim Young also suggested, “Jeffrey Toobin is gone from CNN… next up is Brian Stelter… tick tock.”

CNN has been undergoing changes since its parent company Discovery, merged with Warner Bros. and it has been rumored that Stelter will be leaving at some point soon, although there has been no announcement as of yet.
