After Biden Opened the Floodgates at the Border, Psaki Blames Trump: ‘He Does Not Need a Visit to the Border to Know What a Mess was Left by the Last Administration’

Following months of what many have coined a “Biden Border Crisis” due to a surge in illegal migrant crossings, the White House seems to be blaming former President Trump for the ongoing crisis.

Many have called for Joe Biden to visit the border as many believe the crisis has gotten out of hand however, he has yet to do so. Not only is Biden’s White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki saying that he doesn’t need to visit the border, but she also says this is former President Trump’s fault.

However, the statistics seem to undermine what Psaki is saying. According to data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, there were 192,001 illegal migrant apprehensions last September compared to just 57,674 apprehensions in September of 2020 when Trump was president.

Looking at this data, you can see a spike in illegal border crossings once Biden took office in January. Some believe that many decided to come to the U.S. because they knew Biden would let them in.

This spike in crossings came as Biden halted the construction of the border wall on the southern border and reinstated “Catch and Release”. Due to his immigration policies, he is credited with creating this crisis as the border has been overrun by migrants.
