As we reported yesterday, multiple companies now have announced a pause in Twitter advertising after it was first announced that General Motors had done so.
Today, Elon Musk took to the platform to lament the revenue drop that has now occurred due to the pauses by the advertisers.
Musk reported, “Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists.”
“Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America,” Musk lamented.

Conservative Twitter influencer Catturd told Musk in response, “Glad to see you finally realize how fascist the lunatic left is.”
“Let the Conservatives back on Twitter, get rid of all algorithms and shadow bans, etc, on us – and we’ll bring our advertising dollars with us. Our spending power is enormous,” Catturd insisted.
Right-wing Australian columnist Rita Panahi added to Catturd’s reply, “And get rid of the far Left activists & groups he’s either got within the company or advising the company.”
