Former Minnesota Democratic Senator Al Franken recently has started to make the rounds on different news networks, despite his resignation from the Senate after several allegations of sexual misconduct were made against him.

Franken was a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee as pointed out by news analyst Howard Fineman, who also claimed that Senate Democrats could use his “brains and guts” to “carve up Coney Barrett.”
Elex Michaelson, who hosts The Issue Is, had him on his show last night and when talking about whether the Supreme Court should add more seats if they win, Franken took a shot at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Franken appeared to be attempting to justify his opinion that Democrats should look at packing the Supreme Court if they were to win in November and called McConnell a “cynical person who only seems to care about power.”

Franken added that “At a certain point, you have to respond in kind or let him roll over you. It’s time we respond.”
Podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen agreed with Franken, saying “Al Franken is right. Enough rolling over. Time to fight.”

Franken appears to still be sore after McConnell led the charge for his resignation. McConnell said in 2017, “The daily barrage of allegations of sexual misconduct against Senator Franken are extremely concerning to all of us in the Senate.”
“While the Senate Ethics Committee is reviewing these serious allegations, it now appears that Sen. Franken has lost the support of his colleagues, and most importantly, his constituents. I do not believe he can effectively serve the people of Minnesota in the U.S. Senate any longer,” he said at prior to Franken’s resignation.
Last year, Franken was quoted mocking McConnell by saying that listening to him was “Like listening to Jeffrey Dahmer complain about the decline of dinner party etiquette.”
