Alyssa Milano Calls to Cancel ‘Racial Trope’ Redskins, But Her Name is Used to Sell Their Apparel

In the screenshot below, (in case it gets removed later) you can see actress Alyssa Milano’s name being used to sell Washington Redskins apparel on the Official NFL Shop. It’s unclear exactly what the agreement is between Milano and the NFL, but her name is clearly being used to help sell Washington Redskins apparel.

Meanwhile, Milano is ranting on Twitter about how she has been calling for the name to be changed, and even puts stars to cover up some of the letters in the word ‘Redskins’. See her seething tweet below where she says:

“While we are having these important conversations on racism through brand identity shouldn’t we include the NFL propagating Native American racial tropes? As a NFL licensee, I’ve been trying for years to get them to acknowledge that the re*sk&”ns need to change their damn name.”

Some conservative pundits have taken to their Twitter pedestals to call her out for the apparent irony. It appears that based on her tweet, she’s not unaware of this, but it does seem a little backward for her to take a ‘stand’, and still take the money too. James Woods posted a photo of Milano apparently in a Redskins t-shirt and captioned it simply, “oops”. See below:

One Twitter user called for her to give back all the money she made off of the Redskins name:

There has been a massive power grab to cancel and change things around the country that are deemed offensive and many left-wing liberals want to be heroes and lead the way in getting one thing after another revised, or canceled. Early today we reported on the Dixie Chicks changing their name to just ‘The Chicks”. Mark Dice also called out Alyssa on Twitter:

“You *literally* model Redskins merch that’s being sold in their online store *right now.*”

Diced also posted a photo claiming that it is Milano in blackface. We dug up a video that may put more context into the photo that Dice claims is blackface. It could just possibly be a dark spray tan for a comedy video she did in 2009, but nevertheless, almost anything can be offensive these days. That video is posted below the tweet:

Will the cancel culture push we are experiencing ever end? Is COVID-19 pushing everyone to the brink of their sanity? Only time will tell. It’s understandable that some things can offend some people, and Media Right News stands for fair treatment of all. But sometimes people just go overboard.
