AOC Asserts That ‘Almost 10’ Died in the Jan. 6 ‘Terrorist Attack’ and Demands That Any Member of Congress Who Helped ‘Plot’ It ‘Must Be Expelled’

U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) seized on a report released yesterday that two sources pointed the finger at members of Congress for violence that occurred on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.

In a quote tweet of Hunter Walker, who wrote the “exclusive” article for the Rolling Stone, Ocasio-Cortez went all out with her rhetoric.

“Any member of Congress who helped plot a terrorist attack on our nation’s capitol must be expelled. This was a terror attack. 138 injured, almost 10 dead,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed.

Ocasio-Cortez then suggested, “Those responsible remain a danger to our democracy, our country, and human life in the vicinity of our Capitol and beyond.”

Detractors to Ocasio-Cortez then seized on her tweet, with many focusing on the part where she claimed that “almost 10” died in the attack.

It is questionable as to how “almost” x number of people could die, people either die or they don’t, but how she arrived at that number is certainly up for debate as well.

Creator of “The List,” Siraj Hashmi wondered, “almost 10 dead? Uh oh” and then used his famous emojis which suggested that Ocasio-Cortez was going to be on his list this week.

Hashmi also shared a picture of some of those who were in the Capitol that day, with cropped in heads looking incredulous.

It is clear that Ocasio-Cortez came to her tally by including the four officers who have committed suicide since Jan. 6, along with officer Brian Sicknick, who died Jan. 7 from two strokes.

NBC News noted that Washington’s chief medical examiner has said that “all that transpired” on Jan. 6 played a role in Sicknick’s condition.

Of course, it was originally claimed that he had died from a blow to the head from a fire extinguisher, which was later debunked.

Also included then would be the four supporters of then-President Donald Trump who attended the rally, including Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by a Capitol police officer.

In an 11 part thread, U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) renewed her calls for a debate with Ocasio-Cortez as well as accused her of incitement of her own.

“You are actually guilty of much worse. You & many Democrats funded, encouraged, and participated in civil war,” Greene insisted.
