Read our update here, as the manager has now been let go by the company. Updated 6:39 ET.
‘Jeremiah Cota’ on Twitter is claiming, (with video evidence) that the manager of Bath & Body Works in Scottsdale, Arizona at Scottsdale Fashion Square told him “F— Donald Trump” as he was “simply walking by the store” with a Trump face mask. We have reached out directly to Bath & Body Works requesting an official statement and have yet to receive a response. We will update the story if we get a statement.
The funny thing here is that many on the left will yell at people for not wearing face masks as well, so in this case, it may have felt to Cota like he just couldn’t win. Cota claims he went inside with his camera phone and asked her to confirm that she did indeed say what he thought she said and she did not deny it, saying that it’s how she feels.
In this world that tries to cancel conservatives and Trump supporters for simply going against the agenda pushed by the left, it’s going to be interesting to see how Bath & Body Works responds to this one. Regardless of policies on politics, no employee should hurl profanities, unprovoked, at an innocent passer-by.
We at Media Right News are not calling for the employee to get fired, but rather simply reporting on the situation and apparent hypocrisy of the delayed response from the mega-corporation. They do still have a chance to redeem themselves though. Some of the hypocrisy is pointed out by some fellow Twitter users as will be highlighted below. First, check out the video for yourself and be the judge.
We’d like the opportunity to speak with you about your experience, Jeremiah. Please DM us your phone number and best time to contact you. Thank you!

Bath & Body Works asked Jeremiah to direct message them, but he responded publicly on Twitter. It’s unclear if he sent them this via DM as well. When we direct messaged the company for a statement though, they gave us their media relations hotline. Jeremiah posted:
“Hi, @bathbodyworks this was the store at Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. I was walking by the store with my family when the manager yelled an unprovoked expletive at me for my #MAGA face mask. This was an embarrassing and harassing experience for me coming from your management” Another Twitter user responded saying that she usually shops there, but this situation makes her feel unwelcome. See tweet:
Oh no! The Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall @bathbodyworks is the one I have shopped at frequently for years! We should all be welcome there.? The harassment is getting so bad it’s ridiculous.

After the backlash on Twitter began to build, Bath & Body Works again responded in the thread, although there has been nothing posted directly to their main feed about it as far as we’ve seen. They stated that they want to assure folks they are taking this seriously and partnering with the appropriate team for “further review”. Another Twitter user wasn’t happy with the slow response and responded to that one by saying:
“Very disappointing @bathbodyworks has not dismissed this intolerable manager. Great screening and promotion process. My wife will be on her way this afternoon to return this purchase from yesterday. We average $150 a month at our local store. We can take our business elsewhere!” See tweet:

Yet another Twitter user wanted to point out that he doesn’t believe it takes a team to determine that this manager was out of line for her profane outburst, replying to the same aforementioned tweet from Bath & Body Works by saying:
“It doesn’t take a ‘team’ to determine that this ‘manager’ is out of line and should no longer represent your company. Fire the witch. Don’t allow her to assault any more customers.” See tweet:

A user who goes by ‘ghost of hitchens’ claimed the company was being hypocrital, and pointed out that if a person with an Obama t-shirt on was kicked out of the store branch, they feel like things would probably have been dealt with differently. It’s important to note that Jeremiah didn’t claim he was kicked out though, but rather that he was walking by. Regardless, the claim of hypocrisy still holds some degree of merit:
“Can you imagine if people kicked other people out of stores for wearing an Obama shirt? Why do your employees think it’s okay to target people for their political views? Absolutely abhorrent. That’s a manager? You don’t have any inclusion or diversity training?” See tweet:

Why do your employees think it’s okay to target people for their political views?
Absolutely abhorrent. That’s a manager?
You don’t have any inclusion or diversity training?
Yet another user spelled out his feelings about as plainly and simply as he could get:
“What is there to review? What an absolute joke @bathbodyworks is. Let’s make this real simple. YOUR. EMPLOYEE. YELLED. PROFANITIES. AT. A CUSTOMER. Employees reason: Customer wearing a mask that supports the President of our nation. What a nightmare @bathbodyworks is.”

YOUR. EMPLOYEE. YELLED. PROFANITIES. AT. A CUSTOMER.
Employees reason: Customer wearing a mask that supports the President of our nation. What a nightmare @bathbodyworks is.
We are still waiting for the official statement from the store’s media relations team to us and will update this article in a timely manner if they decide to respond.
