Biden Running Mate Favorite Kamala Harris Criticizes Trump’s Name Appearing on Paper Stimulus Checks

According to oddschecker.com, Kamala Harris is the favorite to become Joe Biden’s running mate with a 40% chance at doing so. Biden indicated in March that he would elect a woman to be the vice president.

Harris earlier shared an article that talked about how administration officials say that the Coronavirus stimulus paper checks will include President Trump’s name. She called it “absolutely shameful.”

Two senior IRS officials told the Washington Post the decision would likely set back the delivery date on the first set of paper checks being sent out.

The Treasury Department denied that claim and a department spokesperson told the Post the first batch of checks was still set to go out next week.

Harris said yesterday that she was “in D.C.” and “focused on what we can do to help families and small businesses—not giant corporations.” She listed four things that she was trying to do, although none appeared to be specifically aimed at helping small businesses.

Democrats in the Senate had recently blocked $250 billion in emergency additional small business loan funding.

A week ago, she appeared on Late Night with Seth Myers and called the initial relief bill inadequate. She claimed that Trump “came into office not understanding the role of government.”
