The Black Lives Matter Twitter page tonight tweeted out a photo of Maxine Waters looking cross and implied it was a “POV” of listening to Joe Biden’s call to “Fund the police.”
During his State of the Union address, Biden said, “We should all agree, the answer is not to defund the police, it’s to fund the police… fund the police… fund them!”
“Fund them with resources and training! Resources and training they need to protect the community!” Biden added as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Kamala Harris gave him a standing ovation.
Many Republicans can also be seen standing and applauding.
It is unclear if the shot of Waters was from that particular part of the speech, but Black Lives Matter made it appear to be so.
“POV: listening to Biden declare “the answer is not to defund the police, it’s to fund the police” #SOTU,” the group said in the tweet.
