Boebert Not Impressed By Psaki Joking About Secret Flights: ‘The Invasion at the Southern Border Isn’t a Laughing Matter’

We reported yesterday about White House press secretary Jen Psaki scoffing at a supply chain crisis during her daily press briefing.

That was not the only instance of Psaki making light of a situation in order to try and take heat off the failures of the Biden Administration.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked her about secret flights of illegal immigrant kids that were reported on by the New York Post.

The Post then reported that Psaki improbably disputed the notion that the flights were taking place “in the middle of the night.”

Psaki then joked to Doocy, who had asked the question, “We are talking about early flights. Earlier than you might like to take a flight.”

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) weighed in on the situation and was not impressed by Psaki’s attempts at downplaying it.

“Someone needs to tell Jen Psaki that the invasion at the southern border isn’t a laughing matter,” Boebert said in a tweet.

Boebert added, “Cartels are getting rich trafficking children and the Biden regime is finishing the job for them rather than shutting down their organized crime operations.”

Following the jest to Doocy, Psaki launched into the administration’s talking points, repeating earlier assertions that officials have a “legal responsibility to safely care for unaccompanied children until they … can be swiftly unified with a parent or a vetted sponsor.”

Additionally, Psaki noted that charter planes were also landing “in other parts of the country, as well” but didn’t elaborate or provide any details on how long the program has been underway, how many kids have been transported or the cost to taxpayers.
