In April, Britney Spears shared the news that she was expecting her third child. This was something she was very excited to announce. Today she sadly shared she lost her “miracle baby”.
Sharing the devastating news on Instagram in a joint statement from her and boyfriend Sam Asghari, she said:
“It is with out deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news. our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
Spears was recently released from a “conservatorship” by her father, which she claimed kept her from removing an IUD which kept her from conceiving another child.
She was previously elated to announce the news of her pregnancy to her Instagram followers:
“I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ … I thought ‘Geez … what happened to my stomach ???’ My husband said ‘No you’re food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!’ So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼”.
This type of loss is tragic, Spears and her boyfriend will continue to try to expand their family.
