Entrepreneur Carol Roth had a viral tweet yesterday that really resonated with many who still use the social media platform.
Roth mocked triggered liberals who were threatening to leave if Elon Musk were to end up buying the company completely by comparing it to how they threatened to leave the U.S. before Donald Trump’s elections.
“‘I’m going to leave Twitter if Elon Musk takes over’ is the new ‘I’m going to move to Canada if Trump wins,'” Roth declared.
Unsurprisingly, a number of triggered liberal Twitter users came to respond to Roth to tell her how triggered they were by her tweet.
“Getting our home ready for sale along with most everything in it. We have friends in the Dominican Republic and we’re outta here if 2024 goes south. Elon? I won’t spend another dime on Twitter,” Twitter user John Briggs responded.

“Patty,” another Twitter user with a picture of a cat in one of the left’s signature pink hats, insisted, “Except that a. I don’t need Twitter. b. I’ve already left Facebook b/c of Zuckerberg c. It doesn’t require a passport or application for residency to leave Twitter d. I don’t need Twitter. Can I stress that enough?”

a. I don't need Twitter.
b. I've already left Facebook b/c of Zuckerberg
c. It doesn't require a passport or application for residency to leave Twitter
d. I don't need Twitter. Can I stress that enough?
“Ekim Xander” told Roth, “It’s 1000000x easier to leave Twitter than move anywhere, let alone another country.”

It will be interesting to see if Musk is able to own Twitter and if he does, whether there will be a mass exodus or not.
Musk is certainly betting that it would bring more users in ultimately or else he would not be making the move.
