Things are not looking good for Chris Wallace after he sporadically abandoned his post at Fox New for greener pastures.
Wallace, ironically enough, was not aware that former CNN president Jeff Zucker was about to get his walking papers right before he made the choice to go to CNN’s streaming service CNN+ however, and he was not happy about that development. Charlie Gasparino reported on Twitter:
“Breaking: @CNNplus employees bracing for layoffs possibly as soon as May amid projections of lackluster sales of new streaming channel; CNN employees say new streaming channel could be merged into larger @discoveryplus as early as May unless subscriptions pick up 130 @FoxBusiness“

Although many Fox News viewers didn’t like Wallace and don’t miss him anyway, there may be some cases of schadenfreude as this news continues to play itself out. There has been some pushback to Gasparino:
“The “well oiled” @CNN PR Flack department won’t respond to my calls for comment but tweets out their response. Nice”

Gasparino doesn’t seem to be buying it, however. Conservative PT has more details here:
Chris Wallace, like former co-host of “The Five” Juan Williams, was known as a lone left-leaning voice at Fox News. Another left-leaning former Fox News host Shep Smith, now reports the news on CNBC.
Wallace reportedly started his new show Tuesday. NBC recently reported:
Chris Wallace says he left Fox News after people at the news organization began to question matters of truth, like the Jan. 6 riot and whether the 2020 election was stolen.
“I just no longer felt comfortable with the programming at Fox,” Wallace told The New York Times in an interview published Sunday.
Wallace, who announced his departure from Fox News in December, told The Times that life at his former network was “unsustainable.”
“I’m fine with opinion: conservative opinion, liberal opinion,” Wallace told The Times. “But when people start to question the truth — Who won the 2020 election? Was Jan. 6 an insurrection? — I found that unsustainable.”
