Conservative Twitter users confirmed journalist Liz Wheeler’s hunch and urged Elon Musk to make an “alternative phone” regardless of whether or not Twitter is banned from the iPhone and Google app stores.
As we previously reported, journalist Liz Wheeler said in a tweet, “If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone.”
“Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?” Wheeler asked.
Musk responded, “I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone.”
Live PD host Dave Kopenhaver replied to Musk, “Raise your hand if you think @elonmusk should make an alternative phone regardless.”
Many Twitter users appeared to “raise their hands” as the reply has received over 1,700 likes and climbing.

It has been rumored in the past that Musk might create a Tesla phone, so it certainly isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he will soon attempt to move in that direction.
However, Musk recently said in an interview, “I have too much work on my plate that is for sure.”
