In a Truth Social post today, former President and 2024 GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump got the last laugh after Megan Rapinoe blew a penalty kick in the USWNT’s shootout loss.
Trump reported, “The ‘shocking and totally unexpected’ loss by the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden.”
“Many of our players were openly hostile to America – No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close,” Trump explained.
Trump concluded by declaring, “WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA”
When Trump was in the Oval Office, he had feuded with Rapinoe after she gave a vulgar response when asked if she was “excited” to go to the White House if the USWNT were to win the 2019 World Cup (which they eventually did).
Rapinoe told the reporter who asked, “I’m not going to the f*cking White House.”
Trump responded to Rapinoe at the time, “Women’s soccer player, @mPinoe, just stated that she is ‘not going to the F…ing White House if we win.'”
“Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level in our Country’s history, and the poverty index is also best number EVER), leagues and teams love coming to the White House,” Trump explained.
Trump added, “I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!”
