In a Truth Social post earlier today, the 45th President Donald Trump pointed out that the raid that occurred last Monday at Mar-a-Lago could ultimately benefit Republicans during the midterms.
Trump declared, “Republicans could win many additional seats, both in the House & Senate, because of the strong backlash over the raid at (Mar-a-Lago).”
“Polls are showing that some lost Republican territory over the last number of weeks has been more than made up with the unannounced Break In by the FBI, which should never have happened!” Trump insisted.
Trump later shared various articles that appeared to back up his claims as well including one by Washington Times columnist Paul Bedard that was released on Thursday.
“RNC note to FBI: Thank you.” Bedard chided.
“A quickie Trafalgar Group/Convention of States Action poll following Monday’s FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago winter home boosted voter enthusiasm among Republicans and independents, most of whom believe the search was politically motivated to punish the 45th president.”
Data released by the group at the time reported, “76.7% of Republican voters believe Trump’s political enemies are behind the FBI raid on Trump’s private home. 14.6% believe it was the impartial justice system at work, and 8.7% are not sure.”
53.9% of independent voters believe Trump’s political enemies are behind the FBI raid on Trump’s private home, while only 35.3% believe it was the impartial justice system at work, and 10.8% are not sure.
In a major win for Republicans, 83.3% of GOP voters say the FBI raid on Trump has increased their motivation to vote in the 2022 election.
Even 71.7% of independent voters say the FBI raid on Trump has increased their motivation to vote in the 2022 election, according to the poll.
