Donald Trump Urges Republicans ‘Do Not Fold’ on the Debt Ceiling Unless They Get Everything They Want Including the ‘Kitchen Sink’

In a Truth Social post today, former President and 2024 GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump made his position clear on the debt ceiling battle.

Trump urged Republicans “Do not fold” on the debt ceiling unless they get everything they want “including the kitchen sink.”

“REPUBLICANS SHOULD NOT MAKE A DEAL ON THE DEBT CEILING UNLESS THEY GET EVERYTHING THEY WANT (Including the ‘kitchen sink’),” Trump declared in the post.

Trump pointed out, “THAT’S THE WAY THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALWAYS DEALT WITH US,” declaring, “DO NOT FOLD!!!”

Not long thereafter, it was reported that the talks between the White House and Congressional negotiators have stalled.

A key GOP negotiator blamed Biden administration officials for the breakdown, accusing them of failing to find a “reasonable” compromise.

U.S. House Rep Garret Graves (R-LA) told reporters, “We’ve decided to press pause because it’s just not productive.”

Graves added, “Until people are willing to have reasonable conversations about how you can actually move forward and do the right thing, then we’re not gonna sit here and talk to ourselves.”

“The House passed a strong bill, it has great savings in it. And it’s responsible and it puts us on a path to bend the curve,” Graves pointed out.
