In a tweet yesterday after his Twitter poll concluded, Elon Musk alerted Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to the results.
Twitter users overwhelmingly voted “no” to the omnibus spending bill in a poll that tabulated over 3.1 million votes.
Musk had asked, “Should Congress approve the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill?” 71.2% of users voted “no.”
After the results came in, Musk declared in a quote tweet, “.@SenSchumer & @LeaderMcConnell, the public has spoken. They are overwhelmingly against this giant spending bill.”

Musk had started the poll Tuesday night and a little over four hours after it had begun, he offered his opinion on the matter.
“I’m in favor of a small spending bill to keep things running, but common sense suggests that it be the least amount required through the holidays,” Musk explained.
Musk then insisted, “Railroading through a giant spending bill that almost no one has read is unlikely to be in the best interests of the people.”

Railroading through a giant spending bill that almost no one has read is unlikely to be in the best interests of the people.
Prior to that, the Hodgetwins had responded, “Not no, but HELL NO. They don’t even read it before voting on it!”
Musk agreed and told them, “Guaranteed, not one person voting for it has read the whole thing. If we added that basic requirement, legislation would improve dramatically in favor of the people.”

U.S. House Rep Dan Bishop (R-NC) has a Twitter thread on various provisions that he was able to find in the bill and he responded to Musk alerting the two Senate leaders to the results of the poll.
“If only Congress were obligated to follow the results of this poll!” Bishop lamented.

twitter would be a good way for we the people to voice their opinions on these bills. TY
Americans didn’t want them to pass the “omnibus” spending bill. Americans do not benefit from it, and Americans will suffer more because of it.
Only politicians (corrupt, money laundering, kickback loving, pork stuffing traitors to America) wanted the omnibus money laundering bill to pass. And pass it they did.
They represent their own interests, and not the interests of the American people as their Constitutional duty demands.
