Washington Post is reporting a near worst case scenario for Twitter employees. 75% of 7500 Twitter workers are likely to be having to apply for jobs.
We wish them the very best and hope they all land on their feet. As the Musk Deal gets closer to closing, social media as we know it is changing. META stock has plummeted while Twitter is near the $54.20 a share he plans to pay.
Otherwise the Twitter shares would be much lower. Washington Post reports that the jobs cuts will happen soon, even if the Musk deal gets delayed again.
NYP reports in part:
Twitter’s current management planned to pare the company’s payroll by about $800 million by the end of next year, a number that would mean the departure of nearly a quarter of the workforce, the report said.
