Former President Trump’s one time White House press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is expected to announce a run for Governor in her home state of Arkansas tomorrow according to multiple sources.
If she does indeed follow through, she will be following in her father’s footsteps, former Governor Mike Huckabee. Mike also ran for president in 2016 but threw his eventual support behind Donald Trump who went on to beat Hillary Clinton.

Arkansas is a red state, and Sanders is immensely popular among Republicans and Trump supporters. This puts her chances of winning the seat relatively high in our opinion. Sanders may even be setting herself up for a higher run one day, but we can only say that speculatively for now.
“She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job,” Trump tweeted when Sanders was leaving the White House. “I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas—she would be fantastic.” This is according to CNN, one of the outlets that reported of her announcement tomorrow.
ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel was one of several who tweeted out their support of the news as she said that she believes Sanders will make a “GREAT” and “fantastic” governor.
