A poll released tonight by Fox News gives President Trump his best approval rating yet. 49 percent approve of the job Trump is doing as president. That’s up from 48 percent two weeks ago and 47 percent in late February.
49% percent of voters disapprove, marking only the third time in Fox News polling that fewer than half rate him negatively. 89% of Republicans approve of Trump, which is not far from his record 91% in January.
A CNN poll said that enthusiasm for voting in the presidential election among registered voters has dipped down nine percentage points, from 66% who said they were extremely or very enthusiastic in March to 57% now.
Overall enthusiasm is down more among Democrats than Republicans, falling 12 points for Democrats, while remaining steady for Republicans. And as of now, those who say they support Trump are far more enthusiastic about voting (70%) than are those who back Biden (50%).
A CNBC poll also was historic for Trump. His job rating rose in the poll, with more Americans approving of his handling of the presidency than disapproving for the first time in the three years it’s been tracked by CNBC. His approval rating jumped to 46% from 40% in December, with a 6-point decline in disapproval to 43%.
