Perry was a Canadian-American actor, comedian, and writer. He was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom Friends (1994–2004). Perry also starred in the films Fools Rush In (1997), Three to Tango (1999), and 17 Again (2009).

Perry was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, on August 19, 1969. After graduating from high school, Perry moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He landed his first major role in the NBC sitcom Second Chance (1987–1988).

In 1994, Perry was cast as Chandler Bing in the NBC sitcom Friends. The show was a huge success, and Perry became one of the most popular actors on television. He played Chandler Bing for ten seasons, until the show ended in 2004.

After Friends ended, Perry starred in several films and television shows. He had a recurring role on the NBC sitcom Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006–2007). He also starred in the films 17 Again (2009) and The Odd Couple (2015–2017).
