U.S. House Rep Nancy Mace (R-SC), who recently was one of nine Republicans to vote to refer a criminal contempt case against Steve Bannon to the DOJ after Bannon defied a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee, appeared on both Fox News and CNN yesterday, hoping to build her profile.
What ended up happening, however, was a viral video that made Mace the laughingstock of the liberal media and Democrats.
Normally, that would be a positive for Republicans, but in this case, it actually exposed Mace as someone who will say whatever she thinks will play to a certain audience.
When Mace spoke on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Jason Chaffetz, she suggested natural immunity gives better protection than vaccinations and should be considered when looking at policy.
“One of the things the CDC has not done and no policy-maker at the federal level has done so far has taken into account what natural immunity does. In some studies that I have read, natural immunity gives you 27 times more protection against future COVID infection than a vaccination,” Mace insisted.
Mace explained, “So we need to take all of the science into account and not selectively choosing what science to follow when we are making policy decisions.”
Most conservatives would certainly approve of that viewpoint and appreciate her speaking out and saying something like that.
Fast forward to an appearance later on CNN with host Kaitlan Collins, Mace asserted that she has encouraged people to get vaccinations and wear masks to prevent contracting COVID, making no mention of natural immunity.
Mace told Collins, “I’ve been a proponent of vaccinations and wearing masks when we need to. We had the Delta variant raging in South Carolina, I wrote an Op-Ed to my community and I work with our state department of health, I have run ads encouraging my district to go and get vaccinated.”
“When we have these variants and spikes to take every precaution from washing our hands to wearing N95 or KN95 masks more than the medical masks. There is a significant, statistically significant number of people that are protected from COVID when they wear these masks,” Mace added.

Not only that, but Mace told Collins when asked if she condemns the joke that U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) made about U.S. House Rep Ilhan Omar, Mace declared, “Oh, absolutely, 100%. We have a responsibility to lower the temperature, and this does not do that.”
"Oh, absolutely, 100%," GOP Rep. Nancy Mace says when asked if she condemns Rep. Lauren Boebert's anti-Muslim comment about Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar. "We have a responsibility to lower the temperature, and this does not do that."

Mace is definitely a Congresswoman that cannot be trusted to uphold the America First agenda when the pressure is on.
