“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg ratcheted up the rhetoric today after a bill was passed along mostly partisan lines as she labeled Republicans in the House of Representatives as “domestic terrorists.”
Goldberg’s comment came during the show’s opening segment as the co-hosts discussed the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act.
U.S. House Rep Adam Kinzinger (IL) was the only Republican to vote in favor of it, so it seems pretty unlikely that it will ultimately pass the senate.
In response to Goldberg’s comment, U.S. House Rep Mark Green (R-TN) said in a tweet, “Saying I’m a terrorist after going to combat to save our country from real terrorists just goes to show you how lost the woke left really is.”
According to Green’s biography on his campaign website, he deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan in the War on Terror.
Green’s most memorable mission was the capture of Saddam Hussein and during the mission, he interrogated Hussein for six hours.

Fox News transcribed the exchange that took place on “The View” today after Goldberg played a video clip of some of the House floor debate ahead of the bill’s passage, which included U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH).
“What an idiot,” co-host Joy Behar said of Jordan after watching the clip, referencing his argument that Democrats gave “cover” to Antifa while also attempting to tie Republicans to White nationalists.
“When did Washington really get to be a place where stopping domestic terrorism is divisive?” Goldberg asked.
“I guess when they’re part of the problem,” Behar responded, laughing.
“When the domestic terrorists are voting on the bill,” Goldberg added, also laughing.
