Environmental activist Greta Thunberg took to Instagram and Twitter this morning to tell the world that she had been self-isolating due to experiencing symptoms of the Coronavirus. She said that, “in Sweden you can not test yourself for COVID-19 unless you’re in need of emergency medical treatment.” So she believed that it was “extremely likely” that she had it but that she has now “basically recovered.”
The last two weeks I’ve stayed inside. When I returned from my trip around Central Europe I isolated myself…->https://t.co/dqpiFkif9g#StayAtHome #COVID19

President Trump has been criticized for a lack of testing availability but it seems that the United States isn’t the only place where there are a lack of tests. Like the President has said, Thunberg encouraged her followers to “follow the advice from experts and your local authorities and #StayAtHome to slow the spread of the virus. And remember to always take care of each other and help those in need. #COVID #flattenthecurve“
Some have responded that they believe she is simply looking for attention here, while one Twitter user asked if the virus, “could be nature fighting back against climate change?”
Do you think this virus could be nature fighting back against climate change?
