After attending a climate strike outside the Swedish parliament in Stockholm yesterday, Greta Thunberg took to Twitter earlier to endorse Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for president.
She made the announcement while retweeting a tweet from Scientific American promoting an editorial that said “instead of thinking about whether to vote Democratic or Republican in the upcoming U.S. election, think about voting to protect science instead of destroying it.”
Thunberg claimed that she never engages “in party politics. But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that.”
“From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organized and get everyone to vote Biden,” she urged to her supporters.

She then retweeted a Canadian author, Naomi Klein, who said that they are going to going to make Biden stop fracking, while quoting FDR.
“Just like movements made Obama-Biden stop KXL and DAPL. It’s too bad we have to waste energy on it when we should be focussed on a Green New Deal but we’ll make them do both, because there is no choice,” Klein said.
Actually we are going to make him do it, to borrow a phrase from FDR. Just like movements made Obama-Biden stop KXL and DAPL. It's too bad we have to waste energy on it when we should be focussed on a Green New Deal but we'll make them do both, because there is no choice. https://t.co/vDWgaXPceH
