A video shared yesterday by comedian Terrence K Williams has gone viral that shows him reacting to a “Furry” describing different “meows” she uses to communicate “when words seem a little too difficult.”
According to the website Furscience.com, the term furry describes a “diverse community of fans, artists, writers, gamers, and role players.”
Most furries create for themselves an anthropomorphized animal character (fursona) with whom they identify and can function as an avatar within the community, the website explains.
The website also adds that some furries wear elaborate costumes or paraphernalia such as animal ears or tails, or represent themselves as anthropomorphic animals in online communities such as Second Life.
Williams warned viewers in the caption, “Don’t drink water, Coffee or Tea while watching this. You (have) been warned.”
In the video, the woman begins, “Ok hi guys, I’m Dasha, I’m a furry and I’m going to be teaching you guys some ways that my friends and I meow to one another to communicate when words just seem a little to difficult.”
“So first off, we have the normal meow to get each other’s attention (meow)”
“Ok then we have the dissatisfied meow (meow)”
“Then we have the angry meow, but we only use this on rare occasions because overall we’re a very happy kitten family (meow)”
“Then the happy or content meow (meow)”
“Ok then one of the most important ones for our kitten family is the I want to go potty meow. It took me a really long time to master this meow because it needs to be a really specific in order for my kittens to understand (meow)”
“Ok this is the most important meow for me and it’s the I need help wiping meow (meow)”
“Ok last and definitely not least is our in heat meow and we use this when we need a little bit more special kitten attention if you know what I mean (meow)”
Throughout the video, Williams looks more and more shocked until the end when he recoils in complete horror.
