When Joe Biden visited Poland last month, he said at a briefing on humanitarian operations that he wanted to cross the Polish border into Ukraine, but “they will not let me.”
At the time, Biden wouldn’t clarify who exactly told the leader of the free world he wasn’t allowed to thumb his nose at Russia’s invasion.
Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich pressed White House press secretary Jen Psaki on the statement from Biden at today’s press briefing.
In a clip shared by Breaking 911, Heinrich asked Psaki, “Who decides if the President goes to Ukraine or not?”
Clearly was not expecting such a question, Psaki shot back inquiringly, “In what way?”
“He had said when he was in Poland that he expressed interest in going to Ukraine but ‘they wouldn’t let me.’ So…” Heinrich explained.
Psaki refused to answer and instead appeared offended, telling Heinrich, “I’m not going to get into private considerations.”

Biden said at the time, “I’m here in Poland to see firsthand the humanitarian crisis and quite frankly, part of my disappointment is that I can’t see it firsthand like I have in other places.”
“They will not let me, understandably, I guess, cross the border and take a look at what’s going on in Ukraine,” Biden stressed.
Not only that but as he spoke next to Polish President Andrzej Duda, Biden claimed, “I want to hear from all of you. The problem is I know they’re going to tell me I have to get on the plane.”
