Not too surprising but nevertheless notable, Joe Biden recently said something that may be construed as outrageous to some, but to others as possibly accidentally correct. Or may some may say “right thing, wrong reasons”.
Nevertheless, President Biden recently spoke publicly and although he has gone on record before that he likes “getting along with Republicans”, things may be shifting. The approach Biden takes towards Republicans, Republicans themselves, or some combination may be the shift.
Others may argue that the Democrat party became so radical, that they forced Republicans to become more defensive and change themselves as well. Of course, there are many people who don’t like identifying with either party and simply have ideals and values they’d like to preserve, but far too often, the two-party system does a disservice to the likes of that group in their own eyes we believe.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) quote tweeted a video of Biden speaking captioned by “The Hill”. In the first caption, something Biden said was quoted:
“President Biden: “This is the MAGA party now. You’ve got the senator from Texas and others, these guys are a different breed of cat. They’re not like what I served with for so many years. The people who know better are afraid to act correctly.”
Cruz then quote tweeted this with “Not quite an endorsement, but I’ll take it.”

It seems that Biden’s message is tailor-fitted to his own base. But in our estimation, Republicans may see the message and simply say “YES”. In other words, “yes Joe Biden, that is not an insult”.
The Democrat party reportedly faces a challenging election season. The GOP however, has lots of infighting amongst themselves as well.
This infighting is high for more than one reason. One, if the Democrats are slated to have a tough time, more opportunistic Republicans will run in the first place. Two, there are various right-wing factions and sub-factions.
There is a business wing of the Republican party, a Libertarian-leaning faction, a Trump by any means faction, and an America First faction with sub-factions underneath that as well. It’s a lot to take in for someone who doesn’t pay attention much to politics and many of these factions have lots of crossover action, especially on the days of general elections.
It’s unclear to us if the DNC has a coherent strategy to beat whoever the GOP throws at them in November however, so there are lots of moving parts with upcoming primaries and then generals this year, and then the 2024 presidential campaign which we think will kick off soon after.
